You don’t need a lot of gear to do yoga. In fact, you can begin in your living room without anything special. However, there are a few things that I’ve found make my practice better, so I thought I’d share them with you here.

Yoga Mat

A yoga mat provides a soft surface for you to work as well as a non-slip surface. Mats come in varying thicknesses and a range of materials. This mat was one I purchased to use in my office cabin and outside.

 

 

 

 

 

Yoga Blocks & Strap

Yoga blocks and a strap help you safely reach into poses and can alleviate strain on your body if you’re not used to yoga asanas (poses). This strap and block set is economical.
